The Beanie Brigade Needs Your Help
Posted by flybabyjen at 8:43 am in Knitti ng

The group I belong to, The Beanie Brigade, needs your help! We’re getting close to our April deadline of mailing out handmade beanies to children in need and we need help with the postage as the beanies will be mailed all over the United States and Canada. Whatever you can do to help is most appreciated and make sure you stop by and see us!

Mommy, what’s a pedofile?

“It’s not a word, honey, not found in Merriam Webster’s Dictionary, or the Visual Thesaurus, but sadly found all over Google and the rest of the internet. Just make sure you stay away from pedophiles.”

I actually found this article today at work while researching for my job and almost spit water all over my keyboard.

I am sick to death of acronyms.

First of all, use the damn cell phone you are text messaging on to actually call the person with whom you are communicating.

Second, learn how to spell and quit using acronyms.

Third, pay attention to your teachers.

Fourth, if you handed this Valentine to me we would be EX BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!

It’s a Boy!
Posted by flybabyjen at 7:46 am in Personal Business

One half of the women who own & write Grammarholic had a bouncing baby boy this past Sunday, so let’s all congratulate her. Momma and son are both healthy and fine.

I’m absolutely positive that the little bugger is going to grow up to be quite the grammarholic.

Leave your congratulations in the comments or email them to newboy@grammarholic.com and welcome Grammarholic, Jr into the world.

Because I have no taste whatsoever, I had to have the following graphic as well. Momma & son, I hope you forgive me.

There will be more to come later. In fact, I just spent an hour writing a glorious essay on proofreading and lost it. I guess that will teach me to hit the dang “Save” button. So for now, you get this comic I found:
